Embrace your journey with compassion and courage. Together, through relationship, we discover and nurture strength within you

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here!

I am Dr. Tiffany Ortiz and have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I am dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages on their unique journeys towards healing and growth. Finding the right therapist is a personal and important decision. It about trust, connection, and feeling truly understood. In all transparency, I wanted to share about my experiences and clinical training to help you decide if we are a good fit.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California and an Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist endorsed by the California Center of Infant Family and Early Childhood Mental Health. My education has given me a global perspective. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Middlesex University in the UK, a Master’s in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles.

While I specialize in working with children and adolescents, my work naturally extends to the whole family and address issues that emerge throughout the lifespan (e.g. developmental milestones, major transitional life phases and significant life events). My training in working with children has given me a deep understanding of how early patterns of behavior, emotions, and relationships shape the way we navigate the world today. My clinical experience spans community mental health clinics, hospitals, school-based programs, and private practice. I completed two APPIC postdoctoral fellowships at Reiss Davis Child Study Center focusing on clinical work with children and psychological assessment. This reinforced my passion for early intervention, prevention, and the value of comprehensive evaluations in helping families better understand and support their child’s development. During my clinical training, I have also been trained in a number of evidenced-based practices that are also integrated in my therapeutic work, such as Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety.

Beyond therapy, I serve as a Mental Health Consultant for the INfant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation network (IECMHC) through WestEd, where I support teachers and school staff in understanding their students and reducing burnout. Using a relational and reflective lens, I help educators attune to each child’s unique needs, fostering more supportive learning environments and holding space for both child and educator.

Currently, I work at a community mental health agency in Los Angeles County. There, I oversee multiple programs, such as the Neurofeedback Program and Psychological Assessment Services. I have also developed the Doctoral Psychology Training Program to support trainees and early career psychologists through clinical supervision, didactic training seminars, and ongoing consultations. Additionally, I serve on the Cross-Sector Child Care Taskforce Committee and a parent representative in the Family Ambassador Program with First 5 Orange County to continue advocating for early childhood development and access to essential services.
